Hi! My name is Asha.

I was born in Russia and spent the first years of my life in the tundra of Chukotka, in the northeast of the country, among the Arctic ice and reindeer herds. For a large part of my life, I was a field scientist: gathering herbs as a biologist and gathering stories as an anthropologist. I am used to observing things in their overwhelming beauty and I really love to share what I see.

Since 2022, I live and work in Florence, Italy.

I am a resident artist at GADA Cultural Center (Firenze), OnArt Gallery (Firenze) and Serenity Project (Bilbao). I also collaborate with several international art collectives on art projects, including MA'AT (Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia) and The Unseen (Brazil, South Africa, Italy).
